Personas¶
A persona represents you in the conversation. While you can chat without one (the AI just knows your username), a persona gives the AI a richer picture of who you are — your appearance, backstory, personality, and more.
Why Use Personas?¶
- Roleplay as a specific character — Give yourself a name, description, and avatar for the RP
- Consistent identity — The AI references your persona description instead of guessing who you are
- Multiple identities — Switch between different personas for different characters or scenarios
- Attached lore — Link a world book to your persona so your personal lore is always available
Persona Fields¶
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Name | Your display name in chat (replaces {{user}} in prompts) |
| Title | A short tagline shown under your name in the persona switcher |
| Description | Your character description — sent to the AI via {{persona}} |
| Avatar | Your profile image |
| Folder | Organizational grouping in the persona panel |
| Default | Whether this persona activates automatically |
| Attached World Book | A lorebook that activates whenever this persona is active |
